eCommerce Academy Awards is a specialized competition organized by our partners - eCommerce Academy, aimed at recognizing and rewarding the best representatives in the field of e-commerce in Bulgaria.
The second edition - eCA Awards 2023 took place on 05.10.2023 at Tech Park Sofia, where winners of the competition were awarded at an official ceremony hosted by Hristina Hristova and Simeon Ivanov from the morning block of BNT's "Day Starts" program. In this year's edition, 13 stellar statuettes were awarded in 10 main and 3 special categories.
Online Stores Developed by Stenik Win
In the first edition of the competition in 2022 in the "Children's Products" category, the online store of Clever Book was honored, and developed by the Stenik team. For the second consecutive year, we are proud of the awards and prosperity of our partners who have entrusted us with their eCommerce solutions. The esteemed jury and the audience appreciated the advantages of two projects we developed - Uwear.bg in the "Children's Products" category and Sky Optic, which received the highest recognition from the audience.
With Stenik to the Stars
UWear.bg - Winner in the "Children's Products" Category
UWear.bg is an online store inspired by the interests and needs of children for licensed products with brands like LEGO, Harry Potter, Super Mario, and Minecraft. Our partnership began in 2020 when we successfully migrated the online store to Magento. In addition, the Stenik team implemented integration with ERP, synchronization with various partners and suppliers of the merchant, and specific functionalities meeting the business needs and requirements in the children's products sector. Elena and Kaloyan, the owners of UWear, create magic in the world of children's products. Filled with passion and inspiration, they managed to turn their family values into a recognizable and reliable brand for children. And so, today, Kaloyan Iliev - the owner of Uwear.bg, rightfully received the "Star of Online ECommerce" award in the children's products category from Georgi Stefanov, creator of Ganbox.
SkyOptic.bg - "Favorite Store of the Audience for 2023"
SkyOptic follows fashion trends and offers a rich selection of prescription frames and sunglasses from globally renowned brands. In 2020, we developed a Magento online store for the brand, for which we continue to provide technical support and make improvements to its functionality. It's important to emphasize that behind the success of skyoptic.bg stands a dedicated internal team with whom we enjoy working. The biggest award and recognition, "Favorite Store of the Audience for 2023," was presented on the stage of eCommerce Academy Awards 2023 to Ventsislav Bektashev, owner of SkyOptic optical centers. The award was presented by the main driver of the event - Mirela Todorova. According to the organizers, the impressive voting results reflect the loyalty of over 3000 votes from the brand's fans.
Ozone.bg, SportDepot.bg, Mebeli.bg, Oh!Good, Astratex.bg, and MellyJolly.com are the other awarded online stores that received their stellar statuettes from leading experts in each sector of the online business.
Our Contribution to the Competition
For the second consecutive year, our team had the pleasure and honor to participate as part of the jury in the prestigious competition. Two of our most talented designers - Ivelina and Zornitsa were invited to evaluate participants in the "Design and Customer Experience" category. They had the not-so-easy task of evaluating participants in the competition, excluding projects developed by our team. After a thorough analysis of the projects provided to them, our design stars gave their assessment, strictly aligned with the defined criteria for the competition. And hours before the ceremony, Ivelina shared her impressions and advice in the panel "Common Mistakes and Best Practices in Marketing and Design of an Online Store" within the framework of the 10th edition of eCommerce Academy Conference | Best Practices 2023."
In addition to our colleagues from the design team, the award ceremony was attended by Stefan Chorbanov, Co-founder of Stenik, Helia Popova, Account Manager, and Dobi Parvova, Marketing Manager. They applauded and congratulated all the winners and warmly welcomed Kaloyan Iliev and Ventsislav Bektashev immediately after receiving the golden stars. In turn, they did not forget to thank the entire Stenik team for the support, work on projects, and most importantly, for seeing us as a true trusted technology partner. This kind of recognition is the greatest reward for us and inspires us to continue supporting online merchants in Bulgaria in conquering the peaks of eCommerce and turning them into true favorites of the audience.

It was a pleasure for us to be part of the eCA Awards 2023. We are happy that we felt the atmosphere and experienced the emotions of all the deserving winners. We met various store managers, jury members, and guests. Additionally, we had the opportunity to meet our valuable partners and e-shop owners with whom we actively collaborate. We discussed various eCommerce-related topics and shared personal experiences and ideas. This filled us with good mood and enthusiasm.
