The eCommerce Annual Summit 2023 brought together representatives from various sectors of e-commerce in Bulgaria, providing an opportunity to share valuable knowledge, best practices, strategies, and trends in eCommerce.

Stenik participated as an official partner in the eCommerce Annual Summit 2023 for the third consecutive year. The forum took place on October 4, 2023, at Interpred WTC – Hall "Sofia". Among the speakers was Stefan Chorbanov, co-founder and manager of Stenik, who presented the topic: "Bridging the gap between web and mobile commerce in the most efficient way."
Stefan shared the challenges faced by online merchants in the development of mobile applications. Drawing on Stenik's 20 years of experience in e-commerce, he highlighted the most common factors explaining why many e-merchants in Bulgaria have not yet invested in such applications. These challenges include high development costs, complex technical implementation, specific integrations with various software solutions used by merchants, data management, and, last but not least, the lack of information about the benefits of shopping applications.
Chorbanov also presented some of the key advantages that come with the development of native applications. These include a higher open rate and reaching up to 90% of the audience through extended location-based push notifications. He pointed out that: "Mobile applications create greater loyalty among users who prefer to shop through the application, and they often have higher average order values." One of the key advantages of such applications is the ability to run personalized marketing campaigns targeting the audience using this channel.
Stefan also discussed Stenik's solution, which helps e-merchants overcome many challenges: developing a mobile application connected via API to the eCommerce platform and all integrated software, ERP platforms, courier and payment systems, and real-time loyalty programs. This solution provides merchants with centralized management, full data synchronization between all systems, an extensive set of features, and the ability to personalize the storefront, which can use different technology from the standard base theme used in the online store. For the development of apps, Stenik uses the Flutter cross-platform, making the mobile application compatible with both Android and iOS operating systems, leading to a significant reduction in development and maintenance costs.

Our company booth was also present in the exhibition part of the event, where we were available to all visitors and guests throughout the day to answer questions and discuss specific needs and challenges faced by online merchants.
Interesting discussions took place, especially after Stefan's presentation, which sparked interest. All guests had the opportunity to interact personally with him and ask specific questions.
