This year, once again, the eCommerce Summit forum brought together some of the leaders in the field of e-commerce in Bulgaria. Stenik participated again with a fresh set of successful practices and advice.
Where and when?
The eCommerce Summit 2021 took place on October 5th. This year's edition was in a hybrid format, with some participants attending in person at Interpred, Hall Sofia, while others had the opportunity to follow the event entirely online.
Stenik took on the role of an official partner and speaker at the event.
Again this year, the Stenik team participated in the eCommerce Summit forum. Besides being an official partner of the event, we also presented as speakers during the conference.
D2C Case study: Brand building and scaling abroad
The topic we presented was exceptionally interesting as it addressed the direct-to-consumer segment, also known as D2C. The speaker from our side was Dimitar Dimitrov, a partner at Stenik, and he was joined by Dimitar Yorgov, eCommerce Manager at Pirin Hill, who is a prominent representative of D2C. If you follow our blog, you know that just a few months ago, we migrated the online store of the Bulgarian brand to Magento 2, marking the beginning of their business scaling process.
The topic of the presentation captured the audience's attention from the very beginning, and the recognition of Pirin Hill as a brand further contributed to its success. It turned out that a considerable portion of the audience was already familiar with the brand.
After the introductory remarks, Dimitar Yorgov shared more about the history, mission, and vision of Pirin Hill. The "introductory" part quickly passed, and both speakers delved into the essence of the topic.

It is interesting to note that, in fact, Stenik is one of the first external companies that Pirin Hill has engaged to provide services for their business. Before deciding to work with us, Dimitar Yorgov shared that they had explored various options and ultimately chose Magento as the platform for their upgraded online store. They were drawn to Stenik because of our extensive capabilities and experience, as well as the references from companies with similar business setups.
During the presentation, we discussed some of the challenges in the project and together, we discovered the so-called "sweet spot." We paid attention to the seamless ERP synchronization in the project, and as a finale, we also looked towards the future development and possibilities of www.pirinhill.com.
Personal meetings with participants and visitors
Within the framework of this year's eCommerce Summit forum, we had the opportunity to meet in person with all participants and visitors. Our well known booth was available to anyone who wanted to have a chat and discuss their online store needs or any relevant cases.
We successfully exchanged valuable practices with other speakers at the forum and had the chance to meet face-to-face with some of the leaders in e-commerce in our country.
Excellent results in a hybrid format
As we mentioned earlier, this year's forum was conducted in a hybrid format. Due to the epidemiological situation, the venue couldn't be filled to its full capacity, but the online presence was strong. Many people participated online in the event, and a large portion of the attendees engaged with us, reached out to us, and provided comprehensive feedback from eCommerce Summit 2021.
The forum adds to the list of successful events for Stenik, giving us the opportunity to exchange and share experiences.
