Stenik team's spring escape adventure - mystical riddles, cryptic challenges and team spirit

At the end of April, our team embarked on a mini spring team-building event that lifted our spirits significantly. Since our last major team-building activity in the winter in Leshten, a considerable amount of time had passed with daily communication and remote teamwork. We decided it was time to gather in person, replace virtual meetings with face-to-face interactions, step out of the home office mode, and dive into an exciting adventure together.

Even though two years ago we visited two escape rooms in Sofia with a smaller group, the team once again showed interest and willingness to organize this type of team-building. One of the reasons was that most of our colleagues had not visited an escape room until that point, and everyone believed the experience would be interesting.

After researching various options, we chose to visit one of the most popular escape room centers in Sofia - Teorema Escape Rooms. Our goal was to further develop not only our communication and teamwork but also to test our logic, unconventional thinking, and team spirit.

What escape games did we experience?

We chose two themed games - "Atlantis" and "Bank Heist." The team was divided by drawing lots into several teams of six people. The goal of the escape rooms is clear - to find the exit from the locked room within a certain time frame. It is necessary to work as a team and in good synchronization, solving logical puzzles, discovering hidden clues, and following the storyline that leads to unraveling the mystery and finding the way out of the room. Phones and any other devices are not allowed in the game space; you rely solely on the skills and qualities of each team member.

The draw brought together people from different departments and fields in one team, which was probably one of the reasons everyone managed to handle part of the puzzles that required different thinking very well. On the other hand, colleagues who work actively together daily showed commendable synchronization and excellent communication. A prime example was the team that included the two partners at Stenik - Stefan and Dimitar. At the end of the game, they received a compliment from the room moderator for their excellent communication and coordination during one of the challenges. This is certainly due to their long-standing collaboration over the past 20 years, which has allowed them to work together to such a high level.

All teams proved their ability to work effectively in various scenarios, reinforcing once again that together we achieve excellent results not only in our work for clients but also in challenges outside our work commitments.

Game - "Atlantis"

In this game, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the ancient secrets of the lost civilization of Atlantis. The challenge was to unravel the mystery surrounding the heart of Poseidon, which was located in the lost Atlantis. The room was filled with various puzzles, ancient traps, and challenges that we had to overcome as a team in order to progress in the game. Each puzzle was connected to mythology and legend, giving the game an authentic atmosphere full of mystery and adventure.

"Bank Heist"

In the game TNT, we found ourselves in the scenario of a bank heist, where we had to find a way to escape the danger we were in. A maze of puzzles and challenges awaited at every turn, with each solution leading us closer to liberation. The room was filled with authentic items and elements that simulated the scenario of a bank heist. The tasks were thematically relevant and included deciphering codes, finding hidden objects, and avoiding obstacles set by the "captors”.

After we managed to free ourselves from the "captors" and "ancient traps," and successfully navigated through the challenges of both rooms, the team gathered for dinner at the "Three Sisters" restaurant. In a very pleasant atmosphere, we shared our impressions of the games, exchanged many personal stories and experiences, and enjoyed delicious food and drinks.

My team and I completely immersed ourselves in the story of "Atlantis." The puzzles were interesting and challenged us, but we managed to work as a team and solve them all. I’m very happy we gathered with our colleagues and had fun together!

Nia Andreeva, Sales Assistant

After our exciting experience together, we reaffirmed that we are an excellent team. Logical and mysterious puzzles cannot stop us; we work effectively even under stress and in confined spaces, and we excel at unlocking all kinds of doors without keys. We are ready for new challenges and adventures and eagerly await our next gathering. We are already looking forward to our next summer team-building event, where exciting activities await that will raise our adrenaline.
