Programmers from Stenik as mentors and jury within the tenth anniversary edition - Hack TUES X

For the first time, Stenik is a sponsor of the unique and iconic Hack TUES hackathon, organized by students for students. This year's 10th anniversary edition took place from March 13 to 16 at the John Atanasov Innovation Forum in Sofia Tech Park. The Stenik team actively participated in the accompanying interesting initiatives during the educational events, encouraging and supporting young talents in their development and improvement in the field of technology. This year's theme was "Back to the Roots," and the hackathon was held under the motto: "Once a TUES member, always a TUES member!", allowing participation of TUES alumni from all TUES classes.

Stenik Programmers - Mentors of Hackathon Teams

Stenik supported the TUES community by sending representatives from the team - colleagues from the dev department, to act as mentors. They took their commitment to heart and dedicated time, enthusiasm, and a lot of energy to motivate, support, and advise the participants during the development of their projects. Together with the students, our colleagues overcame all the challenges that arose, and most importantly, built friendly relationships with the participants.

This year, a record number of teams participated in the event - 80 teams and 357 participants. On two of the event days - March 14 and 15, TUES students had the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience from our technical director - Niki Dimitrov, and colleague programmer - Nikolay Nedyalkov. They mentored the teams "Bezzebs" and "S-tier," providing advice on developing the students' ideas and turning them into valuable projects, overcoming difficulties together.

Jury at the Finals

Our colleague and programmer - Stefan Minchev, actively participated in the final phase of the hackathon by evaluating the teams and their projects. He took the opportunity to congratulate the teams on their performance and also asked some participants questions to allow them to explain their decisions.

Another source of pride for our team was winning first place in the alumni finals by the team 'Almost Lemniscate,' which included our colleague Stoyan Tinchev, a TUES graduate and programmer at Stenik.

Special Award "Open Day at Stenik"

At the end of the iconic school hackathon Hack TUES X, during the official award ceremony, our colleague Dobi Purvova presented a special award to the team "Gorublyane Aristocracy," which participated with a technological project for an application that orders aquarium supplies.

The Stenik team awarded this project because the team demonstrated excellent presentation skills before the jury and skillfully showcased their original project. The special award, "Open Day at Stenik," provides the winning team with the opportunity to spend a day at our office, experience the working atmosphere, observe and participate in the work process, and enjoy an inspiring exchange of knowledge and ideas.

For those of you who are curious - the closing ceremony and the finals were streamed live on the school's YouTube channel, where you can watch the recording.

And More :)

You can watch the school podcast - TUES Talk and episode 111, featuring our co-founder and manager of Stenik - Stefan ChorbanovIn the podcast, he shares valuable advice and insights from his experience that will be useful to listeners and viewers." Also, in the "Secrets from the kitchen" series by TUES, you can see our participation in the sports initiative - a football match between Stenik and TUES, specially filmed for the school series.

Congratulations!

We greatly enjoyed spending these three exciting days with the TUES community. We want to express our admiration for the excellent organization of the event and the thorough preparation that went into it. It was a real pleasure to interact with the hackathon’s organizational teams and to meet the many young, enthusiastic individuals who demonstrated their capability, knowledge, and success. Congratulations to everyone involved in the organization and to the teaching staff.
