Retail Digital Summit is an event organized by Enterprise Magazine. The forum aims to develop and connect the entire ecosystem in retail trade. This year's format brought together the retail sector, online merchants, and established experts in one place, providing an opportunity to share more information regarding current data and trends that will shape the market and its development in the new year.
Stenik's participation as an official partner
On February 21, 2023, the Retail Summit 2023 was held at Interpred-Sofia.
This year, Stenik participated as an official partner of the event, serving as a presenter and exhibitor. During the forum, Dimitar Dimitrov, Partner at Stenik, marked his first appearance on stage for the calendar year as a guest lecturer. He shared his expertise and experience on the topic: "Click & Collect: Past, Present, and Future of Omnichannel Customer Experience"
From the stage, Dimitar managed to deliver a fresh batch of successful practices, trends, news, and advice to the audience. His presentation sparked significant interest among all attendees. The topic of the future of omnichannel customer experience is one of the most relevant in the retail sector. Additionally, it presents a challenge for a significant portion of online merchants, as some of the attendees shared.
In his presentation, Dimitar presented current and confirmed data reflecting Europe's lead over the USA. He pointed out that over half of the retailers in Europe have implemented the click & collect service, compared to only 30% in the US. Regarding the new preferences and attitudes of consumers when making purchases, his presentation indicated that more than 50% of customers expect retailers to offer the option "order online, pick up in-store." The reason for these preferences often lies in the availability of free in-store pickup as opposed to delivery to an address.
Dimitar explored the prerequisites for a well-organized click-and-collect experience from the perspective of merchants, providing specific real-life examples and working solutions implemented in projects within Stenik's portfolio. These examples reflected the best practices for implementing the click & collect service.
Among the examples were our clients and partners Technomix, Aiko, Casa Vino, TeMax, Raya Toys, Autopro and Mercari, in whose projects our team has implemented omnichannel solutions for customers, including options such as product search, shopping, and returns: in-store availability, pick up in-store, reserve your favorite store, filter the catalog by store, buy online - return to the store, and more.
"One of the biggest challenges for many businesses and retailers is the frequency of inventory data updates and their accuracy," Dimitar pointed out in his presentation.
A very interesting part of his lecture focused on the new and less familiar trends: reserve-and-collect (store booking), click-and-go, click-and-find, and click-and-try, and how they facilitate customers and elevate the omnichannel experience to the next level.
During his time on stage, Dimitar also addressed specific questions from the audience. The dialogue was highly valuable, as participants had the opportunity to ask their personal questions based on the shared content and receive immediate answers.

At the expo area of Retail Digital Summit, Stenik set up its corporate booth, where some of the eCommerce consultants were available to all attendees to answer various questions and discuss useful and effective business solutions.

A successful event
It was a pleasure for us to be part of Retail Digital Summit 2023. The event was inspiring and productive. The organization was excellent, and we enjoyed a wonderful atmosphere and valuable networking throughout the day. In the expo area, we managed to exchange useful ideas and practices with other speakers at the forum. We shared our experiences and gained insights from experts in other fields.
